“Nothing in life is perpetual. Nothing will last forever. Things in our life often stay for a very short period of time. Once we have learned the lesson the Universe is teaching us, it no longer serves us and is gone.

Nothing in life is perpetual

Our ego however, resists letting go. Resistance to change is one of our biggest deterrents to happiness. But whether we like it or not, we need to accept the fact that the Universe will always give us exactly what we need, when we need it and then removes it when it no longer served its purpose.”

Quote by R Lee Schultz, The Visitors Guide to the Insane Asylum.

It is almost always heartbreaking when we let a person walk away, no matter how hard we try to make that person remain in our life. Our ego wants to spend all of our energies trying to figure out what we did wrong; find fault in ourselves or in others. We spend days, weeks or maybe a lifetime seeking a reason. The reason is unimportant. Look only for the lesson the Universe is sending. Move on. In fact, too much time has already been wasted.
