Our entire being is our garden and our minds the gardener. Our Mind and body create what I call our Minds Garden.
“Our entire being is our garden and our minds the gardener. Our Mind and body create what I call our Minds Garden. What we plant in our Minds Garden is precisely what will grow. If we plant flowers, we will grow flowers. If we plant weeds we can’t expect to gather roses.” Quote by R Lee Schultz from The Visitors Guide to the Insane Asylum. Many of us are taught from an early age that it is better to give than to receive. That at first inspection would appear to be a wonderful path to follow. It is interpreted to mean that we should give of ourselves even at the expense of our own physical, mental, and emotional health. Give ‘till it hurts might come to mind as a paradigm expounded upon from parentages or Spiritual leaders. A Universal Truth however is that we can only give that what which we have it within us. We need to take care of ourselves first. We need to support and nurture our body, mind, and spirit so that love can flow fully in all aspects of our life. You can’t give to others a what you don’t have! Giving and receiving are part of the same coin. They are the yin and yang of a balanced life. Appearing opposite or contrary forces, they are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Just as every breath depends upon an inhalation as well as exhalation, the flow of Universal energy into our lives depends upon our ability to receive and to care first for ourselves. Create in yourself an awareness of this Truth and let your soul receive the positive energy of the Universe and create a complete you!
